Air filter change 2015 GLE63s
Air filter change 2015 GLE63s
Hi all,
I was hoping to get some help with how to actually remove the engine covers to access the air filters? I'm about to do an oil/filter change & want to do the air filters too - but the rocker covers where the air filters are wont budge & all I can see is screws that can only be felt/accessed from the bottom (as the top of the screw is covered by the engine cover).
I'm guessing I'm missing a simple step? I've tried to find videos/looked at other posts but cant find one specifically for our car. Would really appreciate any guidance.
My VIN # is WDC2923752A006896
Cheers

No. Just follow the directions (items 3-5). Air filter housings are pulled up and turned over to remove the screws. If you have any question, just YouTube (do not search by your car model, instead search by engine - 157 or 278 - there are many videos as these engines were/are installed in many different 63 and 550 models).
thanks for the guidance gents! after searching for videos based on 157, it made it alot easier. Pretty straight forward.
At this stage I've bought the genuine Mercedes filters but I am curious as to whether the K&N's are better? Apparently they allow more airflow, but i would think in a car like this AMG would take all that into consideration with their parts.
thoughts?
cheers again for the help
