Hello I I bough a couple of weeks ago my gle 63 2017 love the sound of the car but my dealer offer me as they own me some money to make a little tune up on stage on chip and an x pipe on it currently from 550hp to 650hp I didn’t mind to much so I did it. Now my car lost the growling noise even on spot + and just making no sense popping even sometimes in comfort and use to be louder before this and well you can see I am very disappointed . What could have been the issue the x pipe or the tuneup chip maybe ? I just ask my dealer to revert all and remove chip and x pipe to back to stock But don’t know if it will bring the notes from before .

Most likely the x pipe caused the pops to go away.

Xpipe on a turbocharged car will cause you a loss in power. You want straight pipes or at most an H pipe to smooth the sound.
