AMG 63, how does it ride??
I am driving a 2018 Q7, standard suspension, and I am looking to order a new 63 AMG. I was looking at an X550i, but BMW is apparently out of parts and the best options (Upgraded radio, air suspension, etc) are not available. This lead me to the GLE, and i love the style and sound of the 63S
My concern is how comfortable this will be compared to the Q7. I love the Audi in how comfortable it is especially on the hwy cruising at 80+. I cannot drive a 63, s no dealer near me has one to even look at. I hate ordering a 135k SUV blindly, so I wanted to see what you owners of a current 63 say about the ride.
Also, in comfort, is the exhaust quite, is there any drone?
All of the video reviews just stomp the pedal and rave on the power and noise, and that is great, but what about the other side when I need a luxury ride??

It rides just fine. I bought my 2021 AMG GLE 63S about seven months ago and have about 12,000 miles on it, including a recent trip from southern California to Salt Lake City and back. The exhaust is no issue at all. I wish it was louder when I enable to louder setting. The massaging and vented seats are nice. My wife remarked that it is more comfortable on long trips than the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland V8 it replaced, despite the giant Summer tires.
However, you need to drive one yourself, or drive several if the dealers in your area will only allow short drives. It is definitely a different experience than driving something as smooth and nice as our 2017 BMW 340i GT.

the 63 drives really well and the C mode is fantastic on city streets. The ride is more compliant than the BMW X5 M and I easily chose the 63 over the BMW. Buy one. You'll love it.
