Hello- Any tips/pointers? Looking to buy 2019 or 2018 AMG GLE 63s ....found one close by with everything I want as far as options but it is model year 2018 and a bit more miles than i am looking for @ 30K miles. It is of course out of warranty now and looking for options to purchase extended warranty. Any suggestions? Costs? Any advice as far as maintenance issues to watch out for are welcome here as well! Any Pre purchase inspection to do before buying? Thanks in advance

Here is the one I used for your quote: https://www.rsfautos.com/vehicle-det...faf48fb51b9548
I think they're great looking cars and fast as hell, I looked at purchasing one when my S-Class was totaled, unfortunately due the market and such sort supply, I couldn't wait for my perfect one to become available, went with a Range Rover instead.

Coverage starts at the purchase of the contract correct, you'd be covered until 6/29/2027. You can send me an email at tgibson@highline-autos.com and I can send the full example contract. Originally Posted by T_D

Do it! I had a ‘17 I just sold with 56,000 miles. Went in for a service B and left with a $4,000 bill for a leaky timing cover gasket. I was quoted like $5 grand for a year extension on my CPO. I wouldn’t own those cars out of warranty anymore.
just be prepared for regular rear brakes wearing out every 15,000 miles with normal driving.

Above is an insane quote. Paid $3,550 plus tax ($4,695 MSRP plus tax) on two years CPO extension from Jeff Jackson (in December of 2018 though). Originally Posted by Dunga

I agree. That’s why I didn’t buy it. The little 20 yr old chick was telling me why it’s expensive “because those AMGs they build them by hand” and I’m thinking “this can’t be serious”. Originally Posted by threeMBs

Think of the Mercedes Benz factory warranty as "top" tier coverage, then the Mercedes Benz CPO is "second" tier coverage, inclusionary policies that only covers listed components. The $3,585 policy I quoted with Freedom is closer to factory warranty, than the MB CPO... and is for 3 years longer coverage than the CPO as well.

My Service Manager says he has better luck getting things covered with the M-B CPO than Fidelity, which are both sold by the Dealership. There is more profit to the back end from Fidelity, so most F&I folks push the aftermarket policies harder.Originally Posted by Highline-Autos.com

I agree that an "exclusionary" Service Policy (not a warranty, it's an "Insurance Policy") is better than an "Inclusionary" one. I thought the M-B CPO was "exclusionary," but I may be confusing it with the ELW that you can purchase before the main warranty expires.
In either case, they are true "warranties," unlike Fidelity or other Insurance Policies.
