Then the Burmester High End and massage seats.
Insulated Glass doesn't interfere with my detector, and the available positions are perfect.

But to your point, the stellar thing about the Active Suspension is the immediate response to steering input. If you enjoy a car that turns when you move the wheel, slows when you touch the brakes and goes fast when you hit the Go pedal, all without what I call "wasted motion," you will appreciate the 53 with the Dynamic Plus Package. (Very few cars fit that description these days unless a dedicated performance monster.) The AMG Active Ride Control will convince you that you are in a smaller, sportier car than one without ARC.
In addition, when it comes to luxurious ride, the ARC provides a noticeably smoother ride, especially on bad pavement and potholes, compared to the base 53 suspension, which is nice in its own right. The base 53 suspension is firmer than a 450 with air or steel, but the 53 with ARC is smoother. And it doesn't wallow.
It compares favorably with a GLE with E-ABC, which I had on our 2020 GLE450. The E-ABC is smoother on speed bumps and irregularities that are the width of the entire lane, but the ARC is better when only one side of the car hits a jolt.
So, the DPP with ARC gives the best of both worlds - significantly improved handling, and significantly improved comfort. I've never seen an option on any car that was so uncannily good.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
1. I did not know it improved comfort and this would be a welcome thing to have.
2. Having had the chance to take the car up to 137MPH, it would help to have the extra performance added by DPP
3. When you're doing high performance driving the standard silver breaks are really not up to the task and you will smell the burning smell when they overheat fairly quickly.
