2024 Ordering

Anyone have details on the availability of ordering the 2024 variants? My lease is up in September and I'm ready to graduate from the 53 to the 63, I deserve it!

We are probably a few weeks away from having the DOG. Order bank isn't open yet.

It'll be interesting to see how the option packages shake out, especially for the GLE 53 since it will be coming with a lot more standard equipment now. I'm expecting at least a $5000 increase in base MSRP for that model, and that might be optimistic, given the increase from MY22 to MY23 where they didn't change anything except make metallic paint standard.

I went in on Saturday to get in the queue for a 2024 GLE63....they have officially closed the order bank for the 2023 SUV GLE63 (but not the Coupe version). And NO order bank for the 2024 SUV (but your dealer can probably take your deposit and put you "in line".....so my wait begins....will let everyone know if any news....

On European websites....they are saying 2Q for deliveries to begin on 2024 model (but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one)....not sure what that means for US deliveries....

Coupe orders are also closed. They all closed back in December.

EDIT: One local dealer I talked to this past weekend said they expected deliveries for the 63s to be at the end of the year (sept and beyond)

In today's crazy World. I would never wait that long. Life is too short. Between 2022 and 2023 there are 286 available GLE 63s right now. I'm certain there is a spec that would work for you. To me there is nothing exciting enough about a 2024 to wait that long for. Best of luck in whatever you decide.

I have to be honest, Mercedes design language is confusing. If I look at all the newest "top" AMG models - C 63 S E Perf, S 63 E Perf, SL 55/63, AMG EQ models... they have the newer "jet-wing" style front fascia. The new C 43, on the other hand, gets the AMG-Line front fascia that you can get on the C300, only with the Panamericana grille.

But then you look at the 2024 GLE and it is the AMG-Line and the 53 that gets the "jet-wing" style front fascia and the 63 S keeps the older style front fascia. Essentially, not really a facelift at all, just updated lights.

I'm not saying the new "jet-wing" style front fascia is superior - that is totally subjective. I'm saying, it just isn't consistent.

It is odd, I assume its because they cant make that jet-wing style work with the larger air inlets needed for the current generation 4.0L engines. At least not with just a "facelift" which I assume means no changes to the metal behind the plastic bumper.

This is the 2024 AMG GLE53. Don't see with a "jet-wing"?

Subtle.. I didnt even really notice it until I compared it side-by-side with the 63:

OK, thought you were talking about the grille as a Jet Wing.
