2023 AMG GLE 53 - Android Auto (USA)
Hello - some local dealerships here in my State are claiming the 2023 AMG GLE 53 does not support wireless Android Auto, but rather only wired (via USB), but some posts online say wireless is available (but do not specify the country).
Also, the MBUSA site, at https://www.mbusa.com/content/dam/mb...s%20Manual.pdf , says wireless is supported (on page 359).
Anyone with a US-based 2023 AMG 53 can confirm whether wireless Android Auto (or wireless Apply Carplay) is supported on these vehicles?

It's sad that MBUSA is always lagging behind on those features - I guess because of this and other features I am looking for, I will hold off on upgrading my vehicle till 2024.

The manual that mentions the wireless support is actually referring to the fact you can connect your phone to the infotainment via BT and stream music and such. That's not the same as an Android Auto connection.

Well, if it's a global limitation, the wording in the manual is quite misleading.
If they were not referring to Android Auto/Apple Carplay, they should have stated the wireless option is not for Android Auto/Apple Carplay, or at least not included this wording under that section. A previous paragraph does say a USB cable must be connected, but when you put a positive and a negative under the same section, at least from a consumer point of view, you have to assume what it's in your favor, at least that's what usually is the case in the US from a legal/case law perspective.
That said, in 2018 I ended up with a different car make because MB was lagging behind on European models for something I wanted, but the other manufacturer no - looks like I'll wait at least till 2024 since I am in no hurry to upgrade at this time.

I have been using this dongle for wireless android Auto and it has worked fabulously well for me with no complaints:
WQQBFF Wireless Android Auto Car...
I paid $90 - $35 coupon. I liked this because it's USB c so no adapter from USB A needed. I guess I have one small complaint, it can get in the way a little when putting my phone in and out of the wireless charging pad. On short drives, I keep my phone in my pocket and after 10min or so I can start feeling my phone getting a little warm from doing WiFi connection to the dongle but that would happen to any wireless AA.
