Not at all. But I like saying I have it as a "mod". On paper they only have 1 claim that is a measurable fact lol.
"It is made of highly performing materials that allow an increased air flow combined with a more efficient filtration, guaranteeing containment of all impurities from as small as 7 microns (compared to OEM's 10 microns)."
So I guess if I cared what micron # I had.
Everything else is just marketing nonsense buzzwords. - "this way ensures the best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power. Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the same technology and materials as the F1 air filters, are evident." Yaay I have the same overpriced brand that a race care has. hahahaha.
I guess it's there but the OEM paper filters are so good that any drop in replacement is just a basic replacement. Now I guess if I had a tune, and a custom one a tuner may squeeze an extra 2HP from a drop in filter than a paper one.
