ezpass transponder will not work thru the acoustic comfort windshield on my 2021 GLE 450. ezpass indiana says the alternative is to use a license plate mounted front transponder. is there another solution or if not is there a no drill front license plate holder for the GLE 450 that I can mount it to?
It's not the acoustic part of the windshield. It's the infrared reflective coating that blocks radio waves. There are two areas permeable to radio waves so you can mount your E-ZPass.

I will be returning this monstrosity and getting the normal transponder instead tomorrow. anyone looking for visual confirmation should be looking for a grid about the size of an old school index card on the upper right near the mirror and in the center portion of the lower windshield.
As an alternative, my pass issuer said putting the sticker at the front edge of the sunroof, inside, would work.
I can't report if it works, because I haven't been in that area for a while.
