Anyone use a hitch carrier?

I'm heading to the mountains soon with my wife and son. I have everything I think I'll need to bring my wife's electric wheelchair along using a small hitch carrier.
My question is if anyone that has experience would know if I need to do anything out of the ordinary... (disable blind spot monitors for example)?
I've read that when you plug in the trailer wiring connector it does this automatically, but I will not have anything plugged in there.
Any other tips would be welcome and appreciated.
I tried a search but came up with not much info.
Thanks

The sensors will activate at low speeds only and since it is on the rear should only be in alarm when backing up. Otherwise should not be a problem. FYI approx. 600lb tongue weight should not be exceeded.

Thanks @marchgroupinc ...very helpful as I'm mostly concerned about the BSM!
(I'll have only around 100lbs on there).

BSM shouldn't be affected.
If you plug something electrical into the nine pin socket, however, it might affect those monitors.

A hitch rattle might be your biggest complaint. There are clamps to help that.

It might be a good thing that the proximity sensors give you a warning as @marchgroupinc mentioned, because your GLE will be longer than you're used to. 🙂

I have a Pakmule Scout. Drove with it over a thousand miles in a day. No issues with BSM at all. The Pakmule has a patented screw-in pin that eliminates any play in the receiver hitch. https://pakmule.com/product/pakmule-scout/ Happy to answer any questions about it.

Thanks! That is really a nice carrier! If I did a lot more hauling and didn't already have two different carriers, I'd be on that one!
And, I already have a couple anti-rattle hitch devices.... highly recommend those.
