Agreed in principle to purchase an AMG GLE 53 today (deposit placed, will take delivery soon) and I’m pretty stoked to step into an AMG vehicle for the first time.

Bought my ‘20 GLE 450 when it was first released and it was so significantly better than the 350 it was a no-brainer. Test driving the 53 last week felt similar.

Can’t wait to go bombing around town through some our fun roads in it.

Would love to hear everyone’s experiences with their current trucks and how you all fared at the dealership.

I just took delivery of one yesterday and so far I like it and am still a little bewildered with all the different screens, displays, adjustments, etc......BUT, I like it.

My experience at the dealer was nice.....essentially, I asked how much is that vehicle-he told me the MSRP and I paid him. Everyone was very friendly, professional, helpful, etc.

Amazing to me that the "finance guy" has available a variety of extended warranty, tire & wheel protection, pay in advance maintenance and a few more I can't recall--which if you purchased all of the "products" it would add roughly $47k to the price of the vehicle.

I am in a similar boat. I had a 2021 GLE 350 and then I took delivery of my custom ordered GLE 53 AMG Coupe back in December. Absolutely love it and I am very glad I went with the AMG over the GLE 450. I really wanted the coupe so it made the decision to go with the 53 AMG easier because they do not sell non-AMG GLE coupes in the States.

I have notices a few minor issues on my GLE AMG Coupe which I will have addressed at the first service (or sooner if I notice anything else wrong).

Regarding ordering, I had originally ordered twilight blue on classic red, however the factory changed it to black interior. I was not happy about the change but I still do like the black interior. It's more common/normal and it has a little less character in my opinion, but overall I still love the car. Also it was delayed by a little over 2 months as it was built back in October and sitting at the factory until it finally got on a truck and was delivered in late December 2023.

The waiting on an order can be horrible. I posted a lot back in 2019 while waiting for my GLE450 order, which I placed in March. I got so sick of waiting, that by November, I ended up buying one sight unseen from a dealership in North Carolina because it was close enough to my ordered vehicle. Ended up taking delivery two days before my ordered vehicle got shipped.

It worked out great because I got a better-optioned truck for less money (since it was on their lot), but man, I would have been happy to just get my order in 8 weeks as promised instead of 8 months.

I also have a long wait ahead of me, I ordered the car in January and it is supposed to arrive in mid-October ...

I recommend you follow up with your dealership and stay on top of them. Depending on where you are located it should not take 8 months to build/deliver. These are built in Alabama.

My sales guy was not checking in with the factory, he was only checking the order status through their software. I had to threaten to not take the car if they could not get it here, and then it somehow miraculously showed up to the dealership.

my GLE '53 is my 3rd AMG previously had a '16 CLS 63 and then a '19 E63S LOVED both AMG cars switched to an Audi S6 for a bit (mistake), and then a '21 BMW M550 (loved the motor, but hated the way the car handled) anyway, finally came to my senses and came back to the brand ordered a spec '24 GLE 53 and got it around 4 months ago love it some minor issues with "intermittent' HUD display, and a soft (yet weird) clunk starting from a stop at times, but I keep the Burmeister radio on and hardly hear it :-) anyway, the tech in the car is just bananas impressive love the car in every way congrats!

Glad you received your custom build. How long in total was the wait - meaning when did you give your deposit? I'm in NJ, intending to place my build at the dealer Wed., (2 days from today). They've got a model that goes in for production early April and can be totally modified at this time. I'm sure this is dealer speak - but I guess I'll see once I select all my options and hand over that dep. check. They're giving me a rough 90 build time - so I'm expecting to HOPEFULLY take delivery by Aug. But not sure that will happen.
