Did you check the USB format? FAT32 or NTFS? Also did you select the regions correctly or downloading entire USA map?

Yes. This was entire region. Going to try just one region tomorrows and see how I make out.. I've updated several times on my GLE450. This is saying Map not compatible. Car recognizes there is an update but fails
wow, sorry to see that. Mine did the OTA update as I was driving three days ago and I had nav running. I got a pause on the HUD, a message it was updating the maps, and a few seconds later a message it was complete and the nav resumed. It was nearly seamless. When I saw the message appear I thought it was going to take a while, but it was literally maybe 5 seconds.
It's a 2024. If it doesn't resolve itself, call your dealer.
