Quote: If you can get 6% off MSRP, the dealership is relatively local, can really get you one by April and isn't playing any games, I'd go for it. That's a solid deal IMHO.
I agree. I don't think it'll last long so I'd hurry my decision.

Also, write a check to seal the deal, AND Make sure they deposit it. (Not a "hold check.") Otherwise it's not a bona fide business transaction and they can back out.

Found a great dealer who wanted to work with me. I simply sent emails with a request for a discount percent off MSRP, discount price for extended warranty and earliest allocation date. I told them I was going to buy and this is the build I want. Remember, this is a highly optioned GLE53AMG Coupe with a MSRP over $120K

Here's how this ended when a arrogant dealer was trying to take control of how the sale was going to take place. They acted like they were doing me a favor. When I first called to get the email for the Sales Manager I was spoken like I was in a police interrogation. Who are you, what do you want, give me your info and I'll get back to you, the sales manager doesn't work this way ect...

My reply to the 2 sales people who were tag teaming me from this dealer after they finally sent me the allocation time table but still no quote for the car or warranty info.

"Thank you both for your time,

I've already made a purchase. I know this form of business doesn't work for all dealers so all is OK.

Out of 5 dealers I emailed, 2 never responded!

One dealer ignored my build and sent back a listing of a car that was not even close to my build. After re-explaining that I wanted my exact build they offered 6% off MSRP but still ignored my request for a discounted quote on the warranty or an allocation date.

The selling dealer's GM read my email in its entirety, responded to all my questions, said they appreciated my direct approach and came forward with a 12.25% discount off MSRP, a decent discount on the extended warranty and an allocation date... it was simple.

No negotiations, just here's the discount, warranty quote and when we can submit your car for allocation. (I called them right back, signed the deal and paid the deposit in 30 minutes)

I received the purchase order in writing confirming the price and build. Placed my deposit and they submitted my build. Should have a car late April or early May.

Your company (Arrogant Dealer) wanted me to negotiate like normal, but just over email. No discount offered as requested, no price on a warranty and it took another 3 days to learn of the allocation time frame.

I explained that I was a buyer and was going to buy a car. (Arrogant Dealers Name) is a very successful company and not selling one car is nothing to them in the big picture but for me, buying my 4th Mercedes that costs over $100K is a big deal to me and I don't like negotiating."

Now you will have to follow up on whether the order was accepted by the factory, and then a production date etc.

They should give you an estimate of when to expect that information. Assuming they actually do have an allocation. Hope so.

I personally would've looked at it as an opportunity to earn service/warranty business. As a Mercedes employee I couldn't get a better deal on that car.

I'm sure they could not care less. The dealer that sold you the car did it at dead nuts cost (currently no MB Cash on GLE's), exactly $0 profit in the deal. I would've looked at it as an opportunity to earn your service/warranty business. As a Mercedes employee I couldn't get a better deal than you did on the car.

Just took delivery of a left over MY '24 GLE 63S. MSRP prox $138K. Received $23K discount plus fair trade on a MY '22 C 43 cab. No haggling or back and forth like the testimonies in this forum. I''ve been doing business with the dealer for over two decades and purchased twenty or more cars for my family. My experience in business is that relationships count. The dealer I deal with is family owned. In today's day and age many dealers are corporate owned and managers and employees have very little negotiating authority. It has to be that way otherwise things could get out of control. In my business life we tried to create a culture where our employees tried to exceed customer expectations. My dealer seems to be good at this philosophy. I guess I am an outlier in the context of this forum. Wish you all the best with your dealer searches.

Nicely done and congrats on your new 63. Out of curiosity, did you get one with the red interior?

Yes I did get the red interior. The exterior is cirrus silver. My daughter is the principal driver of this vehicle and she likes the red interior.. So, if she likes it, I love it. That's just the way it is.

Quote: Hello gentlemen.

I’m looking to order a 2025 GLE63s SUV and wondering what kind of discount off MSRP is reasonable. The MSRP for my build is approximately $145k, including delivery fee.

When I bought my 2019 E63s (MSRP $140k), dealers were open to discounting 5-6%, however that was in 2019 and this is my first purchase in the post-COVID landscape, so not sure what the new normal is.

Appreciate any insights! Thank you!
As of March 2025, dealers are offering about 10k off msrp if the car is in stock. If one orders from factory or bring it from other dealers, than it is at msrp. You can find one and fly or drive to the dealer of your choice to get the good deal. My build is 141k.. and they have one about 132 miles from me.. I am about to go take a look soon after the negotiation.

I ordered a GLE 63 a week or so back, production late May, delivery should be mid June. The semi-local dealer (about 45 minutes from my home) did 10% off without any negotiation needed.

The four other dealers I reached out to 1. Ignored me, 2. Ignored me, 3. Said “MSRP” but then “maybe they could do a percent or two off” after I said no thanks, and 4. Asked me “what year I was trying to get a new vehicle”.

My emails were pretty simple, “what would your price be on this config and when would it arrive if I ordered today?” Overall, a pretty painless experience from the dealership where I ordered. The whole thing was done over a few text messages, a couple emails, and one phone call.

Thanks for the data point. Are you able to share which state you’re in and what the MSRP of your config came out to?

Mercedes-Benz of Arlington, VA has a 2024 GLE 63s on the dealership floor. You might be able to get a decent discount.

FYI - you prolly have to locate, contact that dealer and travel to pick it up or ship to you. Good place to start is autotrader.com. Today they list 34 leftover 2024 models in silver.
