'24 GLE 53: rear camera randomly activating at low speed
I have seen threads of folks with rear camera issues (random opening). Wondering if that's the case here, of if some setting has changed during an OTA that I'm not aware of to go find and turn it off... (?)
I'll be taking it in in to the dealer in the next two months for it's first service, sticker, etc. So I can get this addressed then.
TIA

I hope there really is some kind of fix at this point.

I have a '24 GLB loaner now, and the camera opens every time I drop below 20mph, concurrent with the 'P' lighting up on the instrument cluster - meaning it is looking for a parking spot.
This GLB has no forward camera, but the P search is active without it.
I think it also opens when a proximity sensor sees a front obstacle, but I'll have to check before I return the car.
I'm just going to list this when I bring it in for my scheduled service, along with the continued intermittent HUD problems.
Regarding the rear camera opening - I was out driving around yesterday and had no issues, including when stopping at traffic lights and in a parking lot. It didn't randomly open unless I activated the parking mode. I do not believe my car should assume I am searching for a parking space, or need 360 view, if I am driving anywhere below 20mph. This is also a new behavior.
As far as carwash mode, it probably did pop open for cleaning in the past, but did not turn on the camera display. This past time, it was all ready in car wash mode, but when I put in it Drive from Park a second or third time to move forward in line, the display changed to the 360 camera view. This had never happened before. It always had displayed the carwash mode status screen. I simply hit the back button. Perhaps it's a "quirk", but it was a first.

I would have to drive into my garage at over 20 mph to see if the proximity sensor worked at that speed, and I'm not going to do it. Nope.
