REAR DRL on 21-23 GLE

I noticed the 2024+ facelift GLE has Daytime Running Lights on the rear.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this can be enabled on the pre-facelift models?

I didn't know that.
How are they different from taillights?

Might be the same thing, basically taillights turns on during the daytime just like at night, in Canada at least it became a mandate in 2022 or at least it was one of the options they have to go with: "As of September 2021 the Canadian Vehicle Lighting Regulation will require that all new vehicles sold in Canada have one of the following: tail lights that come on automatically with daytime running lights. headlights, tail lights, and side marker lights that turn on automatically in the dark." https://tc.canada.ca/en/road-transpo...ts-see-be-seen
From what I seen in person, it is no different than lights being on at night just that it is also on in the daytime.

I don't see why not that the taillights on during the daytime can be programmed on the pre-facelift as well since it is possible for such coders to code ILS on so easily, it should be a simple setting.
