20” AMG Stock Tires

Planning on ordering a 2025 AMG GLE53 with 20" Night Package wheels. They’re the same ones that come with the AMG Line on the 350/450.

Does anyone know if these come with all seasons or summer tires from the factory? Is there an option to choose one over the other when ordering?

Thanks!

You can get all seasons on the 20 inch rims if you order them I don’t believe they give you choice over brand of tire it’s just what the factory uses. There are different rims you can choose from mainly with night package or without. I personally prefer the 21 inch rims with the night appearance package. I have had my truck for a few months and the 21 inch rims give a nice ride. You can get all seasons with the 21 inch rims and it’s not a huge price difference over the 20 inch rims. 22 inch rims with the night package would have been my choice if they came with all seasons but not available. If you take vehicle out of inventory a lot of them come with summer tires but some have all seasons.

Thanks for the info! I much prefer the 21/22, but getting Michelin A/S tires for them is difficult and not cheap! I’d go for them regardless of price if they had Cross Climates for those sizes.

My GLE 53 came with 21 Continentals Cross Contact All Seasons they’re excellent tires.

Good to know! Thanks for the info. May consider the 21s if they make good A/S tires that are easy to find.

Just an FYI in case someone stumbles upon this thread looking for answers. The 20" and 22" wheels are available with Summer tires only, 21" can be configured with A/S. A bit odd, but that's what I experienced when placing an order for my GLE 53 this past weekend.

21" is an oddball size with limited aftermarket choices. I'd go with the 20" summer tires and swap them out.

Thanks! I went with the 20’s on my build. I much prefer the look of the 22’s, but prefer the comfort and convenience of the 20’s.

Surprisingly, the 22s ride quite well. My wife and I were really surprised. Downside is maybe having to get different wheels and tires for the winter or just driving the Jeeps when temps are too low.

IMO, 22" is over-rated. Limited selection, sometimes hard to find and pricey, and they can be a harsh ride (especially the run-flats). I can't see them from the driver's seat, from my office desk or recliner. And nobody is pointing to them saying "wow!".
I'm fine with 20".

I had a hard time picking the two sizes, but ended up with the 20s for practicality.

Definitely will. I’m very excited hence all the forum activity!

I went with Cirrus Silver on Black. Wanted the new green color, but couldn’t stomach the $6500 cost.

I saw the new green on a GLS and it was gorgeous! Totally agree on the $6500 for it. Happy for you.
