2021 GLE63S White and Black seats

Hi All, My 2021 GLE63S now has 42,000 miles on it and so far no major issues and still loving it. I see no reason to move to a newer model or switch to another brand. It's just a really great vehicle and does about everything i need including towing a boat but drives awesome. My only downer are the white stripes on the seats, they just look gross compared to the rest of the interior and I can get the staining off. Anyone have any cleaning solution or know how I can get the white stripes looking white again.

My GLE is the third vehicle I purchased with white leather interior. Rubbing alcohol has worked as well as paint thinner, which my detailer used. I did a fairly quick search and the options are endless. Anti-perspirant, baking soda, white vinegar, etc. I would think that white vinegar and baking soda would be less harmful to the leather than the paint thinner. My problem is wearing jeans would turn my white leather blue.

paint thinner? WOW that is brave, was this just straight paint thinner? The smell alone is horrendous

Your thinking is probably right! The thinner likely took off the stain and some layer of paint - so he's problem solved but what white paint is left.

interesting

Yeah, that detailer showed me and the paint thinner was right out of the can and not (apparently) diluted. I was shocked, but after the fourth time he used it, there was still no apparent damage to the leather or the seats on that Ford Explorer or my late wife's Mustang GT. I have not used that on the GLE yet as the seats still look great, but only 3K miles. I still drive my Jeep more and it has black leather. When needed, I will try the white vinegar and baking powder first.

I think I might be scared to use the paint thinner. I tried some alcantara cleaner last year but it seemed to do little.
