I had thought that they would give it the new hybrid powertrain that is in the E 53 sedan. I hope they don't change it much as I plan on keeping my '25 for many years. Not a fan of the overdone (gaudy?) stars on the lights and grilles of the newer models.

100% Agreed... I'd surmise, just based on what I've been reading across the net, most North American buyers feel the same. It's evident that China has most of the influence in the automotive design world these days.
