Anyone know what the starting price of one of these are going to be. I herd they will be hitting dealer January 09 and i am thinking of upgrading my C to this.

Car magazines...(although useful but not always dead on) are saying base price for a rwd GLK 300 will be mid $30k's. Looks to be similar to C class pricing so a 4matic GLK 350 should start somewhere around the $40-$43k range. That is a bit disturbing though as you can easily pick up a ML 350 with options, in the $40-$45k range. The pricing on this is really going to make or break this model, lets face in most cases if your buying an suv your going to want awd, so offering a rwd model to have a low advertised base price isn't going to help. Just as with the C class option packages it will be easy to make the base model price bloom up into the ML range, specially on GLK 350 models. I like the looks, I like the idea, and I'll be looking at trading in my C class around 2010, but it might be wise to wait a year and let them work out any production kinks and maybe work on their pricing structure.
