working on 7500 m/yr lease for 39 months .56 residual .00197 money factor

got a couple dealers down to 1000 over invoice on cars with P1, Multi, leather, lights, paint -- around 48000 MSRP depending on other options

with no cap cost reduction

payments are around $620 - 630

I haven't posted in a while, but am in the market again. Went to dealer to talk about GLK after receiving an email promo. $499/month 39 Month Lease, 10K Miles, $5000 down.

Went to dealer, of course they don't have a qualifying vehicle in stock, but ended up negotiating on a GLK, MSRP for $44,425.

Options:
Sport Package
Premium 1
Multimedia

Was able to get the lease down to

$649/month - 39 months
$4000 down
12K miles.

They told me my MF was .00225, Residual on 10K is 54%, 12K 52%.

What do you think?

From these numbers how do I calculate my purchase price?

well they are definitely padding the money factor -- MB base rate is .00197

work the math using MSRP and see what you get? With that upfront money looks like you are putting down around $2000 deposit (reducing the cap)-- not a great idea for a lot of reasons....

ALso I am in Boston and Herb Chambers is doing his usual crap job of promoting the car -- test drove GLK last Friday and Salesman just called and still would not give me any solid info in the options on cars "Driving up from MAryland" -- jeeez. Told me the GLK would be between 34 and 43K -- pretty evident I know more about this model than he does....

If i can convince the wife I think I will just get her an ML lease -- no sense leasing GLK for more money....
I tried Herb Chambers too and totally agree....they are worthless (I am being charitable)!!

Try Holloway in NH....good folks to deal with.. went out of their way to get me just the color and accessories I wanted...
