The MB web site says the audio upgrade is a 600 watt HK sound system. I am a bit of an audio snob and wondering how good the quality of this system really is? I was looking at a CPO E55 that had an HK system in it, and was not impressed at all - in fact I think it's pretty bad.

The first thing I did when I bought my current BMW was to install an aftermarket system with a 440 watt McIntosh amp and a custom built subwoofer firing through the fold down rear center arm rest. My system blows away anything stock that I've heard in any car to date. Wondering if the 600 watt HK in the GLK is worth settling for?

 

I too am an audio snob & while it's no match for the $12k stereo I had in my Tahoe or a nice set of home towers, I'd say that as long as you didn't spend any more than $4k on your BMW stereo it's probably good enough.
