Regarding golf bag not fitting or not liking the idea taking your drivers out of bag, get real and buy big.
I took my golf bag in and it fit, with drivers on a tilt. I could fit four bags back there. True, cannot fit pull carts and 4 bags. MB failed us.
Breaking news, you can get more HP, more junk space for less dollars than GLK from MB. GM, FORD, Toyota, Honda etc, all produce cars with better this or that comparison. Be practical, don't buy MB, if you do not find value in MB details. You can probably get bigger from MB for less $$ and that clearly shows you are not a GLK prospect.
The GLK concept and need/desire target is smaller SUV meets "my need". Would you test drive a F150 Ford pick-up and complain because it does not compete with a Porsche SUV?

It's the same as putting clubs into an SL. Take out the long woods, and the bag fits fine. In the C350 I layed down the larger foldable seat and can fit 3 sets of clubs easily, and still have room for passanger #3 in the backseat. Haven't done the 'Pepsi Challange' on the GLK in this way, but I'm sure I could find similar room for the clubs.

There is an indentation on the passenger side of the rear compartment.
It allows a golf bag with a modern 45" shaft to lie flat, as in this photo.

However, there was not enough clearance for my Taylormade Burner with 46" shaft unless it was taken out of the bag. Then it would lie sideways, like so:

My wife and I like to go on golf trips. and thought this was a nice touch.

The is reasonable room in the GLK. My client literally just called me 2 minutes ago to tell me that he had no problem fitting his golf bag in the bag. You cannot expect to purchase this vehicle if you have a family of 5 and a lot of cargo. Move up to a ML or a GL. People need to get a little more realistic.

Yes two bags can be stacked withoui removing drivers, unless shaft is longer than 45".Originally Posted by webada

Golf bag? for real? I'll bet it will hold at least two cases of beer which makes anyday better than a golf bag

Manback gets real. What is all the fuss about two or three golf bags. Yes, if all must lay flat with 45+ drivers the GLK is not your car. Hello, you have choices.
This issue seems so unreasonable. My Porsche 911 Carra 4S does not haul a cord of wood. Car is a failure.
The GLK is not not an ML or GL. The GLK is what I have been waiting for, but it may not be what you require. That is why MB spends $$$$$$$ producing a ML, RL, GL, G. Take your choice and stop snibbling.

one thing I learned early in my married life... one size does not fit all.

ohhh i'm real. I'd much rather get wasted drunk with two cases of beer than worry about a golf bag/game.Originally Posted by MtnMachine

It is not a full sized SUV like ML class or Lexus RX330
Don't be lazy....just take out the Drivers.
Mine fit fine as my driver is 44 inches, I don't cheat and use the 46 inches (JK!LOL)

Actually, if you can afford to own the MB and complain about it, your clubs should be stored in the club storage at your member's only private golf club!Originally Posted by JPMagoo
