I really like our interiors, veerodder, but we saw the almond MB Tex and burl walnut in a metallic sand beige GLK today at our dealer. We should have waited! It is so nice! We also got to see the Mars red and Arctic white. Both were very nice but all three of them didn't have the appearance package. Not talking bad about that we wanted to see all of those colors with that particular package.

Thanks again for the pics, I'll have to look at these details closer when I go to the dealer.
NYCGLK,

Do you have any luck with bi-xeon observation? I'm too interesting in ordering one with lighting package, strangely enough, the dealers dont' have on one their lot which means I would have to wait... They are very aggressive in pushing the inventory on their lots (obviously) and are offering good discounts. But I would hate to retro fit later on and would rather order what I want. I share your initial observations from the pix and would not go for that if it was simplying brighter light (ya, LED turn signal only in the back is a minus already)

Thanks in advance.

I haven't looked around for the car yet so can't speak as to the availability of them lighting package or how they look in person.

Also keep in mind that xenons come with adaptive lighting which turns the light when you turn, which from what I read about other cars that have this feature is pretty neat and actaully useful.

Lastly if you wanna blue tint, you can always replace the bulb (50-100 bux). This would not work well with regular lights as I wrote in another post.

I know 1700 is a lot for stupid lights that should be standard, but if you are getting an MB I feel like they should be on it, so you dont have to answer question: How come your 40k MB SUV does not have xenons and my camry does?

Blue Xenons are yesterday shouting "new thing". Our new X5 has white Xenons, our "old 05 Range Rov" had blue. Personally, the blues always irritated me, but it is a personal thing.

My GLK is being built in April and I am glad it has the less conspicuous white Xs. Xs send their own signature, without shouting "blue". IMHO

I just Took delivery of Mine Friday, and sadly Benz had none with a xenon package in stock. However it had every single other option. Just going to bring it to my friend who does tons of aftermarket work, ex AMG, Brabus, etc and have him fit it with a xenon kit. Half the price, however no swivel lighting.
Ohhh well, not the end of the world.

Tell me about it. They searched entire east coast and found 7 total. 2 were silver (what I was looking for). One of them with MSRP of 52k and one on a ship heading to CO (now heading to NJ).

Today I saw a black one with lighting package and def. glad I went with it. Xenons looked nice and bright with very slight blue/purple tint. And rear led turn signals looked very sharp when on.

Sean,
Welcome to the forum and keep us posted as your friend starts getting after market stuff for GLK.

Well the aftermarket Xenons will have to do for my GLK. My friend swears they'll look almost identical to the factory Xenons! Anyway, sounds good to me.
Good otherwise- Arctic White, Black MB Tex, Premium 1, Multi Media, Appearance Sport Package with 20's, Aluminum side rails, double sun roof, and ipod integration.
Xenons on Sat, with tint's on driver and passenger side, maybe windshield also- haven't decided yet.

I'm sure xenons will look the same, as they already come with lenses. It's just matter of replacing bubls and adding balasts. I think there are kits for around 100 bux that accomplish that. If you have somebody who can install and take care of it if something goes wrong it's a wise choice from cost perspective.

Talking Mars red. Ordered 3/31/09

[QUOTE=hhughes1;3449711]The new GLK and her wicked step-sister.
Nice rides. Gotta love that bright red. I had wanted a red C300 luxury but Benz didn't allow that color. So, I settled for a C300 4matic in black with the burl walnut and tan MBtex last July. I'll be trading it on the new GLK.
I just ordered a Mars red with PO1, burl walnut-beige/black MB tex, heated seats, trailer hitch (for my bass boat). If bright red costed extra, I'd pay it. 3 months is dragging. But, I'll be smiling in the end.
