What exactly is Keyless GO?

I have experienced it and still don't see the point. If it was a standard feature, fine, but paying extra for this....no thanks, not me anyways.

I have it and my wife loves it. No standing there waiting while she frantically digs through her purse looking for a key. I wish she had one for the house key, also.
With that said, I would trade it for a remote start, for myself. I have one on my Silverado and it is probably the best option I have ever had on a vehicle. Starting my truck from 100 yards, as I walk out of a business, and having the AC running cold or heat warm, including heated seats, when I get there is priceless. Starting it from inside my house and having it warmed up and ready to go as soon as I step in, priceless.

So now that I have 2 local USA dealers confirm Keyless GO for the GLK beginning 6/21/09 production. Anybody can get pricing and post it up here before the dealer gets it?
Thanks

Thumbs up for the keyless go. When the GLK first came out I was pricing one and fully loaded it was a good 10K less than the ML. It's just the two of us and the dog so a little smaller was not a bad thing. When I told her it didn't have the keyless go option she said we might have to go for the ML, then. She loves the keyless go and for the few times I get to drive it it's really convenient. I think about when I was a Realtor and getting in and out of the car 20 or 30 times a day that would have been amazing. The trunk closer was one that surprised me how much I liked it. Hope it makes it to the US. Now I just have to find about 50K to buy a GLK.

If you mean power tailgate by trunk closer, that comes as part of premium package.
I read KeylessGO is $1010 option on GLK. It's a cool feature, but 1k for this is a rip off in my opinion. I'll keep my car key handy for 1k. I know many will disagree and would love this feature.

I have Comfort Access; BMW's name for Keyless Go on my 530xi, and I can't imagine buying another car without it. I delayed my GLK purchase just so I could get Keyless Go.
