Piano/lacquer Wood around Shifter

So my question is this, how is everyone cleaning/dusting that piano lacquer wood around the shifter? Looks to me like that can be scratched very, very easily.

Well I just use a micro fiber cloth. I also recommend that once its clean that you use one of those proctector polishes just to help with future dusting.

Hey Sean what color is you interior? Can you post some pics? I wanted to go with wood but couple things stopped me. In order to get wood on black I had to get lether packages or go with beige. I like beige interior in black/white cars. But I wanted to go more practical with sliver.

I got Steele Gray vs Black and it comes with the almond/black/wood interior combo.

Steele gray is very practical and offers the best features of black and silver. Personal taste of course.

We have one silver, will have one steel gray soon and several black cars in our family. For years, it has been all black. My wife just got a black X5 4.8. Great cars look great in black.

Not a fan of Steel Grey GLK, my dealer had a lot of GLKs in that color and for some reason I didn't really liked that color. I think this color looks better on sedans, but as you said it's all about personal preference.

I'd get black if I had a house with a hose and didn't have salt in winters. I love the look of black, but it will never look black. Every scratch will also be seen later on.

with micro fiber, I keep two bottle in my car, one for interior, one (quick detailer) for exterior (bird dropping etc)

You can also get the shine version if you like a little gloss.

Mothers makes some good ones too, all of these are easily accessible via auto stores.
