Here is a picture of my black GLK with the parts installed: https://mbworld.org/forums/members/y...surrounds.html
If you want to install it yourself, make sure you wash the GLK 1st, then use the wipes that comes with the kit to take out any grease or car wash liquid residual where the double-side tape will touch the bumper. Stick it on, apply some pressure to it to make sure it sticks, very easy to install.

yc888: I like the look of the Fog Lamp surrounds.

Question: I am going through the C (W204) thread and I am seeing alot on FOG lamp conversion. If I install the surround with the tape, do I need to remove it again if I do a LED FOG lamp conversion ?

Thanks,
GreenArcher85

Agree. Especially for cars in darker colors like black.

The chrome surroundings visually balance the front and the straight line aligns with and matches the side molding.

Really really nice on your car. Just a question, how do you know the exact position of the surroundings, when you put it on? just align the hole to the fog light?

The replacement fog lamp should be installed from the back of the fog lamp housing without removing the front surround. At least that is how I remember any replacement lamp installation. As for LED fog lamp, you need to ask the LED lamp manufacturer whether it is a straight replacement part, or you need to modify anything. If LED lamp needs to be installed from the front, then yes, you have to remove the surround again, which will not be easy. It is because the surrounds stick on very tight on the front bumper. After all, you do not want the surround to fly away from your GLK at highway speed.

Yes, it goes on top of the existing factory round mold perfectly. The round mold actually serve as center point (like an anchor) and it will position accordingly. Since it can only goes on one way, you cannot install it any other way. Got to praise the MB designer to get all the curves right.

I was being careful to try fitting the surround first WITHOUT peeling off the tape backing. Once I am sure it goes on which side up (left or right, etc.), then I peeled of the tape backing, and press it on.

Once you have the parts in hand, try it. You will understand how easy it is to install it.

I don't like it enough for 265, this is an easy desicion, I'll save that money towards winter rim/tire set. My GLK is silver so it hides all of those chrome details. They look great on other colors tho, esp. with sport package.

MadlorGLK: Browse the W204 forum and see topis "DIY HID FOG LIGHT Installation". I believe this should be similar with the GLK (X204).

Here's the link:

Thanks

Some one can ask to your dealer the price and if it is possible to order it.
