Well, my first attempt to re-stick the surround is now under test. I bought some 3M Heavy Duty Mounting Tape and after cleaning all the old tape off, re-applied a new strip of tape and stuck the surround on. We'll see if it lasts.

Andy, did you still need to push the edge for 1/4 inch so that it will touch the car bumper? I am thinking of return it to the dealer...

Well the sticky tape protrudes a bit so you have to push maybe at least 1/8 ". The surround doesn't actually fit flush to the plastic because of the tape and at the ends where there is no tape, but you really don't notice that unless it comes unstuck.

So far it's looking good, although I think it could have been made with a little better fit.

I was thinking of grinding a bit off in the center hole rim of the surrounding, where it touches the fog lens too close. But I don't really like to do it.

I don't think that will help. The problem is the ends don't wrap around enough.

I have installed them for a week, so far so good. I found the driver's side has more stress on the tape. The end of surrounding is about 1/8" of gap. But hoping it will hold like this for now.

So far so good on my replacement tape. Of course it hasn't rained in a month so no wet test.

I know, I'm bad. In the middle of a bathroom remodel so there's dust everywhere, plus the contractors steal my driveway space and I have to park in the street under trees. Next week I'm off work to clean up the dust and Bella will get a good wash.

1/8" gap at the end is about what I have. Enough to see the tape in between the surround and the spoiler.

fog lights on a silver one

i just installed these onese and they worked great, the corners tend to want to pull away from the bumper so i might have to put some 3m tape under the corner to make them hold, but the fit is perfect, dont have to remove anything, just peel and stick over the existing lights, took only a couple mins and i am very happy with the result.

link where i got them
