What kind of discount should I target? 1,500 CAD off?

I got 2K off, which was given to two other fellow members on this site from my dealer, when we ordered in Jan/Feb

 

CAD is Canadian Dollar. Just want to be clearer in the OP.

Is actual price (not list price) in BC similar to Ontario? Will it be cheaper now in April? Or less discount?

Which dealer did you go to if I may ask? And which salesperson? That's a hell of a deal

 

I got $2000 off from MSRP in April.

i didn't get a discount.... that's what i get for being eager to buy a new car. but it's ok, as they valued my trade-in for $2,000 when it was only worth $500, so it's like i got $1,500 off.

 

^Good to hear you got a deal out of it. I actually went down to the boundary dealership today and wow they had alot of stock of GLK's on the lot. I didn't think it would be that many but I guess theirs just not enough buyers? I'm thinking of going to test drive it this weekend as I still have yet to do that! But I'm really thinking of buying one more and more each day.

They've got all the GLK's lined up in the front of the dealership. I was in the dealer today and they even have a GLK really dressed up. & so was the price :O
The salesman I spoke with was very friendly. He stated that it is a 2 - 3 month wait for custom delivery from Germany. The KeyLess Go is coming on next production slated for June. I am thinking about August / September delivery once I can finalize the competition. I did find the back seat tight to get in and out. Also with the running boards, it was not an easy task to get out either. Just my 2 cents worth.

 

Yeah I think I saw that one too. (the silver one with the bikes on top?) Do you think they will be more willing to deal down the price a bit considering a few months ago they would barely budge?

 

I got a hint from the salesman that there are many more cars coming or in the build and that when I come to p/u my car after ordering, he would put whatever offers are available at the time. He could not specify if there is an offer due, but as you know September is new car roll out for most manufacturers. It is like saying "no discount while window shopping?"
