i'm considering buying some chrome 22's the were on a s550. they're not ghetto!!
(to flashy). they also are not staggered so they can easily be rotated and come with 245/30/22 tires. i know the bolt pattern is the same but is the offset the same as the glk? i'm also worried about running a 30 series tire? it's borderline asking for a bent rim if i were to encounter rougher roads. the tires have maybe a 1000 miles on them, so it's not like i can run them for a few 100 miles and buy new ones. but i don't want to buy new 22'' tires just to relieve the stress of potholes? if i go that route i mind as well buy brand new rims and tires. any thoughts?

Do a search, there was a guy here who put 22's. His tires were 265 tho not 245. My guess is that offset would be different just because they are two very different cars on totally different platforms. Also the wheel you are describing is .5 inch smaller than stock 20 in overall diameter.
You can use this calc to see for yourself.

Lastly while they are not staggered in s-class they still might have different offsets in front and back, not sure tho.
