Tomorrow

May be able to get my GLK tomorrow, depending on arrival to the dealership. If it gets there late, then I won't be able to pick it up until Saturday cause I have to work a 12 hour shift on Friday. Saturday is my Bday as well so would be cool to get my new GLK and get throw-up drunk for my birthday.

It would actually suck cuz you'll wanna drive it, so it's better if you get it after you bday.

Did the dealer set up date for you? If it was tomorrow you should def know today cuz the GLK would be in nearby warehouse or on the lot already. Congrats, picking it up is the most exciting part of the ownership.

Zelko, your time will come. I just hope the wait is worth it for you. I'm still happy but my wife still feels we have made a mistake due to the smaller rear seat room and rear cargo area. She loved the size of RX-350 and still notices them as we drive. I continue to tell her that the GLK is a step down in size so she should get over it.

Big difference ordering in country...we ordered ours on 8 May and are picking it up at Sindelfingen the end of this month. I've had the VIN number (meaning it's been built) for a couple weeks...just waiting on it to be trucked down from Bremen.

I heard that now that MB has also been reducing production, so I guess luck come into play now too.

When things were normal my dealer in US said that it takes about 3-4 weeks to get GLK into US from production date, and in order to get into production batch you have to put order in about 1 month before production starts, so 2 months used to be normal wait given everything goes right with shipping and customs. I know some people had their orders get pushed as some production batches were skipped and what sux even more had to change their ED pick up dates.

The reason it took so long for ours was the Keyless GO option, which didn't start production till June. Not sure if you chose this option?

And it doesn't help that all of Europe pretty much takes all of August off! LOL

Should have ordered it back in April/May! Although hearing that Baby G has been waiting 6 months, I don't feel so bad after all

The reason it took so long for ours was the Keyless GO option, which didn't start production till June. If Keyless wasn't such a option to have we could have received delivery much much sooner.

I have no clue how some of you have the patience to wait that long :P I had to settle for one that was on the lot because I couldn't possibly wait two months for a new car. I had to let go of the bi-xenon package (regret) and the LOGIC7 surround package, as well as the sport package (just the larger wheels).

I took delivery 2 weeks after I ordered, and have now owned it for just under a month and have already put 5000KM on it. I gotta agree with the poster above that this car still satisfies me just as much (if not MORE) than when I just picked it up.

LOVE the car.

To be honest I have waited 1.5 months at max... This has far been the most 6 months, and we are never doing it again. Will find dealer who has the options we like with the car on the lot...

+1, I was gonna order GLK, but then I don't how I would wait for so long, so found one on the lot (or really on the ship coming to US). If I do buy another new german car I think I'll order and take ED.
