Steering Wheel Abrasions

Steering Wheel Abrasions
So I have had my glk for 5 weeks and I have three really large abrasions on my steering wheel from rubbing against either belt, key or something else. I actually dont remember it happening, so I am assuming that there was not major contact.
Has anyone else experienced this, I have never had this issue with any other car?
I do did not upgrade to leather and have their standard material which comes with the car.
I just feel 5 weeks 3 scratches what happens in 2 years.

Hey welcome to the forum. Seems not normal, take to the dealer, i think those things might be covered for 3 months or so.

Do you have the same steering wheel as in this thread? If so, I can't imagine how normal usage would result in any noticeable abrasions. That thing is made of tough material!
Anyway, a couple thoughts, make sure the steering wheel isn't positioned unusually low during use and secondly go into the Command menu and set the steering wheel to move to the full up position when the key is removed and before you exit.
