MPG at 55,65,75mph
For all of those concerned with mpg's, here is an interesting post:

I thought the most efficient speed is higher than 55, no wonder I can barely get 21mpg's from GLK on road trips. Looking at RX350 and Mountaineer loosing about 6-7mpg's going from 55 to 75, GLK should be somewhere there too.

2010 GLK350 4matic and my favorite Vintage 1982 PK Ripper Looptail
I commute from Vancouver to Abbotsford for work with my CR-V. When I carpool with my co-worker, he travels at 95 kph and claims he saves gas.
The next two days I did an experiment. The 1st day I travelled at 120 kph, total trip 160km (mostly hwy driving). I used 15 litres of gas.
The following day I travelled at 100 kph and noticed I used more gas (about 2 litres more). The only reason I can think of is that by going 100kph, my travel time went up by 20mins. The extra time of driving resulted using more fuel. The worst part was that other cars were passing me like mad. I started counting after the first few passed me. During the whole trip, total of 70+ cars passed me. I hate it when 18 wheelers pass me and chip my windshield.
