Driver Side Mirror - doesn't dim
Hey guys,
I am pretty sure the driver side mirror used to dim (at night) if you had traffic with their headlights on. For some reason last two nights, I don't see it dimming and see it crystal clear instead of being grey.
Can folks confirms that I was not dreaming things?

Yea driver's site should dim when lights shine on it. It dims even when I'm in a parking garage and there is opening behind me where day light is coming from. (you might rememeber those pics of small mirrors I posted a few month ago, and you can even see that mirror was dimmed)

Just wondering: did you by any chance clean the driver side mirror with Windex?
Windex contains chemical that will kill the darkening properties of these mirrors. I cleaned the inside mirror on my old 99 3.2 TL with Windex then I notice the black region getting smaller and smaller until it is all gone

maybe the ammonia in windex.. it can't be used on tint either. ammonia weakens the tint and uv pretection.

actually the driver side mirror does dim, but it depends on the sensor at the back of the rearview mirror. I think its somewhere near the top right (facing it) at the back. If you block this area during the day, you will see both the side and rearview mirror dim.
