GLK 350 Performance Upgrades
The big question I have is would a 6.3 AMG engine fit in the GLK or even a 550 V8. I would be up for a conversion.

Hey veerod... let's print the whole thing shall we?
From the article:
They’ve gone and done it; the tuning gurus at Brabus have stuffed a V8 engine in the new GLK SUV. And as though replacing the V6 with a larger and more powerful V8 powerplant weren’t enough, Brabus had to go and modify the entire thing.
Brabus engineers completely rebuilt a 5.5-liter motor (as found in vehicles like the S550) and increased the displacement to 6.1-liters. The modifications involved a larger bore and a longer stroke, with a lighter crankshaft, stronger pistons with a compression ratio of 11.0:1 and a modified cylinder head with larger valves and new cams.
In total the new engine makes 456hp at 6200 rpm and 453 ft-lbs of torque at 3100 rpm. Brabus says the V8 GLK can hit 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds and blast on to a top speed of 172 mph.
Other modifications on the car include a lowered suspension (1.2-inches), 21-inch Brabus Monoblock F wheels and a big brake upgrade. The new brake system uses six-piston front calipers with 14.2-inch rotors and six-piston rear calipers with 11.8-inch rotors.
Technically, this Brabus GLK is also a Widestar, meaning that it features the Widestar line of aerodynamics, including a new front fascia that reduces lift and, of course, those flared fenders.
If you need to ask how much, you can't afford it.

of course putting a V8 can be done in a GLK... my question is can it be done by a mercedes specialist locally or at a dealer without it costing 190,000 euros like the brabus version.
All I'd really want is a Kompressor system for the GLK and the kleeman upgrades to get it over 400hp. That would be sick, especially with the Brabus widestar package.

Like the amg idea but think
to change the entire engine just to make the car go faster isn't worth the money becuase with it all added up you couldgo buy an amg plus it is not entirly realistic for every person who wants to upgrade performance to their glk
good idea
just really expensive
I think I'll take a look at the kleeman upgrades
those interest me
but another to look at is the sroung booster USA
it's a little battery looking object you but behind your gas pedal and it increases the coil reaction time needed to make the engine go
so basically increases 0-60 without any engine uprages or anything expansive
cost about 300 and it's an easy plug in and play thing
take a look at it

Camshaft upgrades are not cheap. Those Kleemann upgrades will cost you over $10,000 when labor is added. For that price, you can buy a 550 motor, ECU upgrade it, install it in the GLK and still be faster than any other GLK upgrade can offer.

its not a simple plug and play job. These cars have many computer modules that would need to be updated as well. Easiest way is to have a complete donor car that way you have all/most of the missing pcs. If you could find somebody capable of doing the swap expect to pay a minimum of 8k-10k on just labor. BTW best engine to use if you were dreaming of doing a swap would be the 55K motors

If you are looking at ecu tuning look into http://www.powerchipgroup.com many of my friends get their AMGs tuned by Jeremy. Really knows his stuff
I wouldn't mess with an engine swap in a new car like GLK. Let some other people do it first and you do as much research as possible. I have been involved in many engine swaps and first thing you learn is "nothing goes according to plan".
I wouldn't do an engine swap that's just stupid for an suv escpecially a new 2010 model
but I am probably going for the kleeman upgrades
and does anyone know where to get thr black grill from the glk rally car

Quick question, I have lowered my 2010 GLK 350 as well by 1.5 only. I just replaced the coil spring, at 65-100MPH, if theres any uneven road/ bumps or potholes it gives or the rear wobbles or sway. any suggestion you could share on what should i do next? TIA
