SIRIUS free 6 months ended
My 6 months of free SIRIUS just ended even though I've had the car for only 4. Did yours end also and what did you do? I like satellite radio, but hate the idea of paying $15/month (+fees/taxes) for something I only use on the weekend. Did SIRIUS send anyone mail offering discounted plans? I've read online that their lifetime plan is $400. Not bad if I knew the company won't go bankrupt in a few years. Area, channel 22 makes me drive like a maniac.
i got 6 month for 5 bux a month offer...still didn't get as I drive to the gym and go on road trips once in a blue moon. For daily driving I think i would pay even 15 bux a month.

I had to activate the service when i got my GLK. It was exactly 6 months before they turned me off. No special offers to keep it. I let it go. While the lifetime for $399 was attractive (I would never go monthly) I just couldn't justify it.
Just for the sports channels alone I pay for the service but with the lifetime there are a few catches. I read the fine print and I believe there is a fee every time you change your service from one vehicle to another, so say you get in an accident or your vehicle gets stolen, you are out some more money. Not to mention if you just decide to get a new vehicle. Anyway, just some more input.

But it would still be cheaper to transfer than to start anew. That $77/yr talked about on deal forums isn't always easy to get and may not be there in the future.
