Zune HD in IPod kit car - how?
The manual says I can connect an audio device to the cable in the glove compartment. But the car came with an IPod kit and I have a Zune HD. How can I listen to the Zune in the car? I don't have the upgraded stereo package and I hate those FM transmitter thingys. Screwed city?

check the glove box for a small, usually silver, Aux jack, like the size of a headphone jack. You need a double ended male cable(Radio Shack) and go from the Zune headphone jack into the glove box jack. Then switch the radio head unit to AUX....

Does this work? The new ipod shuffle only has a headphone jack also so I figured it just couldn't be connected.

No, it does not work.
Not if you have the base radio with the iPod Integration kit as an option.
Mercedes never called it an MP3 adapter. Neither did they say it was an AUX input.
There is no AUX in.
What they did say was that it was an iPod integration kit.
It is just a cable that lays in your glove compartment.
An ipod cable that fits on most iPod data plugs.
This allows the Line Out of the iPod to be connected to the Line in of the Radio.
There is no provision to connect the iPod audio out, or anybody elses audio out, to the radio.
So, no Shuffle, and no Zune, no iRiver etc............Sorry guys.

Maybe GLK's are soooooo different that it is impossible. I have a shuffle and it does work in the AUX jack in my glove box(ML350). I could not imagine that every vehicle would be that different. If you have the input, try the male/male cable...works for me and a co-worker.
