I just had this done the other day. I had the following wrapped...

Hood 24" up
Fenders
Headlamps (which are VERY EXPENSIVE to replace)
Foglamps
Mirrors
Full Bumper Wrap. Seriously, every millimeter is covered now.
Rockers totally covered
I didn't ask for, but they did the complete inner door sills Front and Back
(nice surprise)
Small circle for gas lid (to push it open) without scratching gas lid door
Front window pillars
Door Handle cups. Prevents fingernail scratches.

Total Cost $1000USD. It took them two days. I have a BLACK GLK so it was important for me to do this. I live in Colorado by the way where the road debris is crazy.

I know, I know thats expensive! But I paid for the best material and installer (supposedly).

A really nice bonus was that the 3M film they used. I think its known as "Scotch Guard" or something. Has a layer of clear coat. So when it gets scratched, just use 100% rubbing alcohol and wipe the scrathes right out. It works! I already tried this on the rockers. Scrathces came right out.

I got everything done as above with the exception of the sills, rockers and cups and it cost me approx. $450 CDN. Top notch job from the tint place the dealership uses. Call your dealer's service department and ask who does it for them and then go there directly...

I went back and forth when I was getting my car. Ended up not getting it. After seeing a few cars with clear bras on, I didn't really like the line (where bra ends) that becomes more noticeable when car is dirty. Also shine is not the same. Lastly, if installer screws up or film is defective it's only more pain later. I'm not gonna preserve the look of the car for the next owner.

However, I must say, if I were doing lots of highway driving I'd go for it.

Same here. I didn't bother getting this since I don't do much highway driving.

I did this at "The Intrigue Detail"....

http://www.theintriguedetail.com/

Ask for Justin. He is the owner, tell him that Shannon sent you. They will do an excellent job I promise. Also, I was the second GLK they did so they know how to do GLK's pretty good now.

I got the 3M film on my '08 MINI because so many MINI owners recommended it due to how low the front end is to the ground. Yes, there was a cutoff line across the hood but at least I had no paint and/or grill damage for the 17,000 miles I had it. Even though the GLK sits moderately high, I still recommend it. I just got a new MINI without it a couple of days ago and I know I will kick myself later. Wife approving, I may still get it.
