Thinking about a GLK, some questions
Hi Everyone,
Just joined the forum after scanning over it for many months. I recently decided I want to purchase a GLK, so I've been going to dealers and getting quotes. However I have a few questions I have not been able to find answers to on the forum.
1)Do the rear seats have separate lights for the left and right passenger or only 1 dome light?
2)If I get the Comand Navi w/ Ipod Integration, will the Playlists etc show up on the NAV screen + the Multi Information Display in front of the driver or only in front of the driver.
3)Does the rear camera have guidelines? (on some pics i've seen it does and on others it does not)
4)Is the rear-view mirror Auto-dimming or only the outside mirrors (with Premium Package 1).

1. Mine has Panorama roof and mine only has 1 dome light for rear passenger.
2. Player lists and some info. will be displayed on both screen, Navi and intrument Multi screen.
3. I don't have it on mine.
4. Both of them (Rear view and driver outside mirrors, not for passenger outside one)

2. Command displays playlist, Multi displays only track title.
3. Strangely my Canadian model does have guidelines.
4. All dimmed I think.

Mine first came without the guidelines. After complaining to MB about my CD changer not reading discs, they cleared the fault and told me that they upgraded the command module. The difference I found was the additional guidelines when reversing.
I never asked if it was a software or hardware upgrade but if it is only a software upgreade, chances are that you can do the same at your local MB garage.

2010 GLK350 4Matic / 2007 Infiniti G35S / 2005 Acura TL - All of them Loaded
Mine has guidelines. Canadian Dec 09 Build. Must say though that the guidelines are stationary as if they've been permanently etched on the camera. My Infiniti guidelines bend depending on how your steering wheel is turned and shows you where the car will end up. Sort of like training wheels. But the wife loves it. More usefull than the MB camera.
