Driver's Lumbar Contour Now Not Working

Have had the GLK 2 weeks and we love it. Only problem is that the memory lumbar contour adjustment for the driver's seat is not working -- stuck in the max extended position. It did work initially and I have checked all related fuses and looked for loose electrical connections.

My dealer is 120 miles away so it's not worth a special trip for warranty work just for this. Any suggestions are much appreciated, thank you.

sometime the adjustment is very slow...also I'm not sure how it works but seems like something inflates. Maybe you have to push on it when trying to "deflate" it. But I have no idea. Once it seemed like it wasn't working but I held the button long enough and it worked.

120 miles to dealer wow??? I didn't get BMW because it's 20-25 miles away (too far).

You're right.... there have been plenty of posts on this issue. The system is slow to react, especially if cold.... just hold the button a very long time... it will work.

Thank you for the tip -- I'll see how long my finger can hold the button.

WRT the closest dealer to here in southern Utah's high desert (St. George) -- it is in Las Vegas; next closest is in the Salt Lake Ciy Area (300 miles.) Here in the "wild west" there are places where I can drive for 50 miles and not pass any buildings, let alone a repair shop. That's why I have concern for the capabilities of the GLK's space saver spare and why I have replaced the one in my CLS550 with a real tire and rim.

Stuck Valves

Dealer says that this has happened before on other GLKs that he has sold or leased. Problem is valves in the seat that do not release the air in the bladder. They advised giving them a week's notice prior to bring in the vehicle so they can order the correct repair parts.
