1st BIG road trip!
We just got back from our 1st big road trip with the GLK. We went from Calgary to Disneyland in Anaheim CA and back. It was a 5200 km (3250 miles) round trip, so now we have 9500 km on the GLK. I used 144 gal which works out to 22.5 US MPG, or 10.5 L/100 km. The average speed was 75-85 MPH, with a couple of bursts up to 125MPH!
I can't believe how quiet and stable this vehicle is at 100MPH! It doesn't feel much different than at 70MPH.
The trip was very comfortable, the kids loved the rear DVD's, the seats are very comfortable, (even after 12 hours in the them) and the Nav worked great!

GLK is great for road trips.
i have done a few long hauls...Saskatoon to Edmonton, Saskatoon to Winnipeg and Saskatoon to Vancouver and back. I drove every kilometer and loved every second.
