Talking Installed new AMG pedals with Pics

Installed new AMG pedals and I must say it makes my GLK Interior look even more sporty. I especially love the Foot rest as the all weather mats did not cover that part of the floor.

As you can see from the pics it matches the side steps aluminum and rubber stud look.

I found them on EBay for W204(C class), Its real aluminum with engraved AMG logo and anti slip rubber backing and studs. Got them for less than 100 shipped to Canada from USA.

Note if you are going to do this:
Install took about an hour and you will need to remove the rubber cover and drill holes in the brake (metal) and the gas pedal (plastic).
I decided to remove the gas pedal assembly (2 simple screws and 1 plug) to file away space for the nut to make sure it was 100% secure, didn’t want any “unintended acceleration” issues (Sorry Toyota, too easy ).

No, the MB ones for 204 dont have the foot rest or the AMG engraved as seen in this pic so I went with the ones I got instead.

I’m in Canada and shipping costs included duty and taxes across the border as well (can get costly).

Here is a different seller and design that includes shipping for $73 if the shipping cost bothers you.

Consider that similar pedals sell for $160 + $50 (more than double what I paid) shipping to Canada on MB Wheel site

Looks very nice, Why didn't you install the small piece for the parking brake?

Thought of it but it seemed like overkill plus I rarely use it and I love the 3 pedal manual look.

yeah, i'm gonna have to get these now. MB parts quoted over $200, but those are genuine and includes a whole new gas pedal assembly.

GEMINIDAN post some pics I want to see how yours turned out

Also i had the short screws as well but didn’t want to use longer ones in case it limited the gas pedal when pressed press.

FYI, I just bought this set for $72.99 (no shipping costs) and I wanted you to be aware of a few issues. The drill holes are not the same as the first set he mentioned earlier. The gas pedal is aligned with only three holes down the middle instead of four and of course there is no easy way to do it. You must remove the gas pedal assembly to have any chance of tightening the screws. It was very tight so I had to file off some plastic to get the nuts to fit. Once you take it apart you will see what I mean.

AMG PEDALS

Mbenz.. it looks like you have the pedals that did not fit the gas pedal with the angles to match the bottom of the gas pedal..I returned those and put on the one with the AMG Logo and it was cut exactly like the pedal. Much better fit!!!

Hey Blazeitup123, do you know the part number of the pedal's assembly with the aluminium pedal?
This is my missing piece for the factory look.

thanks,

The ones on ebay for $72 with AMG written on them - says that no drilling is required, yet I see here some people are saying you need to remove the pedal. I assume thats just to get the screws tight and there really is, no drilling?
How hard is it to remove the gas pedal anyway?
Thanks

You have to drill to install any of the pedals especially the brake pedal that is made of metal. The gas pedal is very easy to remove, 2 screws and a power clip that is easily detached. I would go with the set below that has the four screws, the set I installed had only three holes in the middle for the gas pedal and they barely fit because of the way the back of the pedal is made, getting the nut over the back of the screw is very tight and I had to shave a little of the plastic in order to get it to work. I do love how they turned out !

AMG Pedals

I installed my aftermarket AMG pedals that I purchased on eBay. The foot rest pedal on the left hand side doesn't really seem to screw into anything solid, feels like press board under the carpet. I pushed a screwdriver down through the carpet and didn't feel anything solid. Does it just screw into the carpet and will it stay in? Thinking about some strong glue to bond to the carpet. Thanks

Yes, it stays put, I have not had a problem since I installed it. I would say just go ahead and if it ever comes out you could then try to glue it.

I would consider these, but I think they'll look funny in our non-AMG wood dash/beige interior GLK. The brushed aluminum dash/black interior looks best IMO.... throw in the AMG body kit and those (aftermarket pseudo AMG) peddles would be almost mandatory!

I just purchased 2 sets from JBSPEED...both my E and GLK have that angle flare on the bottom of the gas pedals...and I requested both sets to match it. Both of my rides have the AMG package...so AMG engraved it ok.
