Could not find the theread, but I was quoted $575.00 today for the , side mirrors, complete front bumper, and hood strip, plus headlights,,it is the new 3M film with UV protection and guarented against any fade, The dealer is Local in Boca Raton Florida..Is this price any good?? anyone have it done and are not happy with it???tx Dan

I have it done, i got it right away when i purchased. I don't have it on the headlights tho. It took 3 times to get the front of the hood perfect. There were ripples that popped up, but under the warranty, no hassle, they tried a new cut and the third time has been perfect for over a year. I have not noticed any discoloration and the high pressure hand wands have not made it peel. Calcite white it is practically invisible!

There is an old thread somewhere... I posted there I know.... anyway... had this done to one of my cars several years ago.... it looks great for the first two years but after that it does start to chip.... and peel... but what pisses me off the most is that they all yellow over time and when and if you're able to get it off, the paint under it does not match the rest of the car anymore.

I wonder if they chip and peel and turn yellow with the new UV Films..Maybe it pays to just put on Headlights and mirrors??? What were the costs paid for full front?? Not sure if I want it to dull the cars shine???

I have it on headlights and fogs, its good against dirt blasts overtime. Did it myself, easy enough.
My old BMW headlight cover is also plastic, overtime they became dull and looked like sandblasted. So I am taking care of my GLK from start.
