At least you have folding mirrors (when they work!), alot of us don't.

These should be relatively trouble free. Have it fixed, then don't worry about it... it's a fluke!

Not knowing which country specific model you have (posters who don't show their origin should specify delivery which would help responders in giving precise advices), is it a kind of hard to suggest the following check you easily could do, before turning in the GLK.

The "Power folding exterior rear view mirrors" is a computer controlled function, featuring a total of three operations, country dependant: Automatic foldback, Memory and Parking position. As you know. computers are deemed to fail - sooner (rather then) or later. I certainly don't know whether this is the case causing this problem, however does the manual describe a "Setting-" and a "Resetting operation" with regard to the exterior rear mirrors. Again, not knowing your country model, may one of them not apply in this case. But, by experience, would I try "restarting" a computer, before start repairing it - that's inexpensive, given performed in accordance with instructions issued by the producer.

In the manual:
http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...l/2010_glk.pdf
the "Resetting the automatic exterior rear view mirror fold in function" instructions are on page 86, and the "Switching fold-in function for exterior rear view mirrors on or off" (Canada vehicles only!) on page 124. As said, given your model would I give it a try.

However is most likely the cause of the problem a fuse or motor issue, like you wrote, as only one mirror is failing, or may be disrupted wiring or connector(s). There are three fuse boxes in your car, and in our GLK did I find the overview of them in the cargo compartment.
