Covers for a freakin hot dashboard
I live in the DC area and it's been freakin hot lately. Anyone noticed that after driving an hour, the dashboard gets extremely hot? My dashboard is black and it radiates heat like a furnace. Did some searching and found these. Anyone using them? Any pics? Does the material matter? Thanks.

I have a RDX that has a hard plastic dash that retains and radiates the heat back. I bought a velour dash (charcoal color) cover and it helped a little bit. The carpet is cool and the dash underneath is warm. I also bought a carpet (black) one for the 190 that I am waiting on. I'll advise which material is better.

i'm on my 2nd houston summer with my glk, i don't think the dash gets that hot. i use one of those cheap sun shades on the windshield, along with keeping the sunroof shades closed all the time, when the car is parked outside at work. and when i'm in the car the a/c in on.
