MBRedux, OK so you are not using Mobil 1 no problem but do you think 5-40 vs 0-40 in our part of the country is OK MB doesn't think so do they???

Actually, they do recommend it! It's what MB placed in your car at the factory! Besides, 0-40 is way too thin for these parts... 100+degreesF every day!
