I just got my first oil change done at 5600km. I just want it done a bit early than do it at 10000km. Wow, it cost me $200 Cdn for oil change. I wonder if this must be that expensive because it is a Mercedes.................

 

Someone has to pay for all those free car washes, cappuccino, danish and donuts

It's never hurt to find and be friend with a local Euro/MB mechanic. All my BMW's/MB's oil changes are part's costs plus roughly $10-$15 labor . But we provide donuts and coffee instead of the other way around.

 

My dealership told me the first oil change was due at 20 000 km!
They also charge $350 in Calgary!
I got 19 000 km on it right now, it's booked in next week.

 

Figure it this way. 8.5 Qts US round it up to 9 @ $7 to 7.50 per Qt. Plus a filter $20.00 equals about $88.00 US. They wash the car - maybe :-). Check fluid levels etc. Your coffee and donuts and Wha-La. $200.00. At my garage I supply the oil he supplies the filter and rotates the tires. $20 Bucks.

 

The dealer charge $350 for the A service (20000km)which is oil change plus some other checks such as light bulbs,wiper etc etc... in Calgary.
They told me the oil change is due at 10000km but I don't think the first oil change should be wait that long. It is just my thought.

 

got mine done @ 5000 miles... had to go over the 'border' as it cost much less than CDN... less than $100 USD

 

I did my wife's GLK for $78.63 US, and she made me fresh blueberry muffins and coffee afterwards!

Just had my 1st oil changed at 8K miles a few days ago. Total cost was $112 USD. They recommended the 12K or 1 year service for $250. I declined since all of it was just a visual inspection. Had the hatch door reprogrammed also (free).

MBRedux, I agree that the muffins and coffee are a real treat but for $20 bucks that includes a filter and tire rotation do you really think it is worth your time. They must be great muffins

 

I think everyone should look at the date their GLK was manufactured and do the first oil change before it is a year old not one year from the date you bought it new. Also I will do mine within the first calandar year of its manufacture or 5K miles whichever comes first.

 

Did mine last week at 5100 miles ,Dealer in Delray did it for 121.00 out the door.

 

That price does include a filter..... but ???? $20 bucks????? Tire Rotation??? Are you "talking to me?" or someone else?



Or did you mean *for $20 bucks more?* That's total BS.... It's $250.00+ for all that at my stealership. Besides, I don't have 3-4 hours to sit around doing nothing while former Chevy & Ford machanics work on my cars.... takes me 20 min.... plus it's fun!

I just booked an appointment with surrey MB for oil and oil filter change at my 3300km. They quote me $225 + tax...anyone know any other local dealer cost less? richmond? burrard? boundary?

 

$540 a month with $3k down.
I believe it includes all scheduled maintenance for 36 months

 

I just got mine done today. $224 CND + tax in ON.

all fluid top ups
visual inspection of tires, brakes

they also checked my tailgate motor, which needs to be replaced and will be covered under warranty.

Price of owning a Benz I guess.
