Folding mirror noises....
Just noticed today that on occassion, when locking the car (mirrors close), or unlocking and opening the door (mirror open), that sometiimes the drivers side sounds like the motor continues to run even though the mirror is full unfolded / folded. Like I said - sometimes, not everytime.
One hears the motor crrying on, and then squeking a bit, followed by a small depserate straining like a mouse with consitpation or something.
Perhaps I have a mouse behind my mirror...with constipation.
Anyone else notice this?

My driver side mirror make this noise especially in warm weather. I brought my GLK to the dealer and they said the wiring harness is touching the mirror case and they are ordering the part to replace it. It will take about 10 days to get the part.

Our old ML had a similar issue as well as didn't always drop down into the "parking" position, and the dealer replaced part of the wiring, IIRC. Worked great for a couple of years afterward, at least until we sold it.

Dude that is very descriptive, lol. Mine does the same on the driver side. noticed it first this summer. I will likely mention it during the first service unless it stops working or something.

There is big discussion going on on the German forum about this issue.
Must be wide spread.
Just in case you can read (and understand) German.

I have the driver side mirror replaced at three months. The mirror is just dead one day and not moving at all.The dealership checked and said that there was internal fault of the mirror. They replaced under the warranty.
