F.Y.I - just done for 1st Service A in Ottawa, CANADA
I just got a 1st service A from dealership.
It should help you guys in ontario.
Simply, it cost me Cad$308.98 including taxes.
Labour charge - $157.50 + tax
Oil part- $73.20 + tax
Oil filter - $24.80 + tax
Tiny few $$$ - $3.00
Last thing - Key fob battery part - $13.02 + tax
I had some problems before I went to the dealership and done as follow,
1. Drvider side mirror noisy when closing (pivot dry and disassembled & rubed pivot, now it is ok)
2. wiper noisy (they were going to replace but charge $80.00 so I refused because I don't think it is from wipers. It should be come from coated something on glass but they didn't do and next time will be done when the noisy is surely coming again)
3. rear wiper little shaking if I touch it. But service manager said it was normal for 1 year used car...It is really odd....why they said like this...When I tried new one in dealership.. It didn't move up and down when I tried to shake it.)
4. I requested "Tire Rotation (now 15,400km) but they didn't and if i want then it should be charged.
Technician said I don't need it because tread is OK~ but most tire shops say" 1year or every 10,000km, it should be done...Hmm...odd.......)
5. Battery for Key fob- Charged.. Wiper charged...
What is "wear & tear warranty for 2years/40,000km ????????"

They charged you for the battery in the key fob???? I would've assumed that it would be under warranty since you probably only had it for like a year or so.

13 bucks for a battery you can get in "the Source" for $4:50? Bloody hell. I have heard of a mark up, but that should be illegal!!

Yes! Vancouver here is starting to rain recently and the wiper is damn noisy! I don't believe the problem is the wiper neither. I am thinking the same that maybe the coating of the windshield...my glk is just 4000km so far and I have used the wiper less than 5 times, always park garaged.
