Ipod intergration kit DIY?

I'm thinking of buying the GLK ipod integration kit and installing it myself. It will save me $400 (after the dealer rapes me on the cost of the item and labor).

Has anyone done this before or have a a write-up? I can't imagine it being difficult, I've build turbo cars before, so this should be a cake, but if anyone has any info to provide I'll be more than glad to listen. Thanks.

Do you have COMAND or UMI?

This site has great info on this type of retrofit, and sells the parts too (may be cheaper than the dealer?)

Hit the link and do a search on "ipod".

No the car doesn't have either of those, just the stock stereo system. I'll check that link out.
