As I never have used the Hankook i*pike Rw11 myself, note the two referred links (searched on the internet) for comments:
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/winter-tires-656105/
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...etail&pc=10934
On the Hankook site: http://www.hankooktireusa.com/Produc...um=3&FnCode=03,
you'll find a downloadable pdf file regarding the tire, by selecting SUV, clicking on the picture and selecting OVERWIEW.
The tire (dimension 205/55 R16, studded) is included in the annual test, a co-operation between one Automobile Association and three Automobile magazines in four nordic countries. Unfortunately have I not come across an English translation. The i*pike Rw11 is (down) as #11 of 14 tested tires.
Comments in short are:
Performance of version of the year is poorer than - 2009, may be due to improvement of icy conditions, now among the best of the tested tires.
On snow is the tire "in the middle".
On sleet is performance poor.

Hankook i*pike Rw11, Winter Tires for "Sport Utility Vehicles 2008-2009", as tested by the Automobile Protection Association:

Apparently have Hankook changed to a softer rubber compound on the week 4/2010 production, as tested by the "nordic group". Softer rubber equals better grip on ice, and reduces noise, which is noted as well by this group.
